Delete your account

This page is for anyone who wants their Tribe account and data removed — including people who have uninstalled the app or can no longer sign in.

In the app (immediate)

  1. Open Tribe and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile → Settings.
  3. Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm. The deletion runs at once and cannot be undone.

By email (if you cannot sign in)

Email jainaagam1237890@gmail.com with the subject Delete my Tribe account, from the email address the account was created with. We will delete the account within 30 days and confirm by reply. If you cannot use that address, tell us the username and we will ask one question only you could answer before deleting.

What is deleted

Everything tied to the account: the login itself, profile and photo, professional profile and resume, DNA answers, messages you sent and received, posts and their photos, groups you created, memberships, notifications, bookmarks, applications, endorsements, blocks, check-ins, streaks, push subscriptions and usage records. Files are removed from storage first, then the database records, then the login — in one step.

What is kept, and why

Reports other people filed about the account are kept for up to one year after they were resolved, so repeat abuse can be recognised; after deletion they no longer link to any person we can identify. Records of moderation actions are kept for two years. Notifications other people received keep their wording but no longer link to you. Our hosting providers keep server logs and, where enabled, backups for their own short retention periods. None of this can be used to sign in or to find you in the app.
